COA Announces Open House Celebration at New Hastings Senior Center on Saturday, September 24, 2022

Council on Aging invites the public to attend an Open House celebration of the opening of our new Hastings Community Senior Center located at the Al Wilke Community Park & Center at 6150 South Main Street in Hastings, FL.  The celebration will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2022, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.  There will be a special presentation and raffle at 11 a.m.

“We are open, active, and having a blast,” said Amanda Jones, COA senior center programs manager. “We want the community to come and have fun!”

The Hastings Community Day, which coincides with the grand opening, has been arranged by the Rotary Club of Hastings District 6970, and will include food, music, other vendors, and a bounce house/slide sponsored by Island Doctors.  Attendees of the open house are invited to enjoy a chance to win a door prize.

“This will be part of a great, family-friendly community event,” explained senior center coordinator Lorain Vinson. “We invite you to come see what we have to offer at our new facility. Mingle with your neighbors, sign up for lunch or an activity, or make a request for what YOU would like to see at your local senior center. We’re having fun — we want you to join us!”

The new Hastings Community Senior Center is located at 6150 South Main Street in Hastings.

For questions, please contact COA’s Lorain Vinson at (904) 729-9161 or via email at lvinson@stjohnscoa.com.
